Review Delirium By: Lauren Oliver

Delirium (Delirium, #1)Delirium by Lauren Oliver

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow... I don't know what I can say about this book. I mean I love the whole concept that nobody's aloud to fall in love you because it's a disease and it'll kill you. That part was really interesting. But the ending to this book.. I absolutely hated it!! I love everything else in the book the characters and all that but the ending just made me so depressed it's not even funny. I thought Lena & Alex would make it and they'd be in the wilds together and the next book would be about them facing challenges in the wild, but I guess I was very wrong because Lena made it to the wilds but Alex didn't. Now I would be all about going to the wilds if I had my special someone with me but since they're so in love and she’s now without him, personally I would go back and get the procedure done because now she's just going to hurt anyway because Alex didn't make it. Now I don’t know if Alex is dead or not because it didn't really clarify that but it made it seem like he was going to die because it said about how his whole chest was bloody so I figured that the wound was on the chest but I could be wrong. Anyways if Alex lives I don't want her to go back and have the surgery because they still have a chance of being together, but I’m just so confused because he promised! that he was going to be right behind her so does he plan on beating his way out of all the cops or does he plan on escaping wherever they put him? Who knows I just hope that him and Lena end up together because you could tell that they really loved each other!!

  1. I was seriously depressed with the ending of this book. I didn't hate it, because it really worked well into the story and even though cliffhangers are so frustrating, they really make a story addicting for me. I have high hopes for the sequel to this book and can't wait for its release. I'm just hoping that Alex and Lena get their happy ending or there will be even more tears shed on my part!

  2. Yeah! I like the story too and the end is a little disappointing, but I think Alex said that to Lena because she didn't escape if she knew his intentions. Anyway, I think that maybe in the second part it's the book for Lena and her mother and maybe they go back to rescue Alex. We'll see :)

  3. Thanks for the comments ladies!! =)

Kristan: I defiantly do agree with you! They really need to have a happy ending or i'll be unhappy for days!!!

Leela: Maybe your right it'd be cool if like the whole book was about her and her mom and then in the end they miraculously find Alex and so they get to be together =)

  4. Hi Paige! I saw your comment on Adorkable and just thought I'd check out your blog :p Anyways, love it! I'm following!
I read this book a while back. I loved it! Gah, i know right, that ending! It made me really angry but that's the thing about cliffhangers. That makes Pandemonium even more anticipated. I can't wait for it! Anyway, cool blog!

  6. I loved Delirium, and that ending is certainly powerful. Let's keep the faith for the sequel. It does seem that things will be bumpy for awhile though. Can't wait to read it!
