Review Gone By: Lisa McMann

Gone (Dream Catcher, #3)Gone by Lisa McMann

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It's over! I cannot believe that the Wake Series by Lisa McMann is over. I loved it so much and all I can say is I’m sad to see it go. The only thing that’s kept me from crying is my eagerness to go ahead and read more of her books. One that I’m really excited for is Cryers Cross, it looks good. Anyways let's get on to what I thought of Gone.

First of all I have to say when I started this book I wasn't mad at Cabel anymore. I read a book in between reading the last two in the series and I’m glad I did that because it gave me plenty of time to cool off. So I’m happy to say that my two favorite characters in this book are again, Janie and Cabel. They're such a cute couple. In the beginning I read that blurb on the back of the book and so I was so afraid that Janie was going to leave Cabel! OMG throughout the whole book I was trying to like savor there moments together because they're such an awesome couple and I didn't want it to end. So I’m extremely glad that they worked things out and Janie chose to stay with Cabe.

I'm so excited that Janie was able to find out that her dad didn't really leave her. It was so cool to find out that her dad was also a dream catcher that's why he couldn't stay with her mom and help her raise Janie. But I feel bad because the result of her dad leaving because of his problem lead to Janie having a terrible childhood because she thought her dad didn't give a crap about her and her mother was a drunk all of her life. But it's good that she found out the truth, better late then never.

While I was reading this book I was sort of hoping that maybe Lisa would be the best person ever and in a couple of years write a short book that like catches up on Janie's life. So we would know if her and Cabe stayed together, if she kept her job with the Captain, if she went to school, if she got her mom cleaned up and most of all if she ended up going blind and lost her hands. It probably wont ever happen but it would be so amazing if she did. I hope you enjoy this review! Leave any comments below.

  1. Oh. My. GOODNESS!
I LOVED the WAKE series. They're all incredible. Lisa McMann is an incredibly talented writer.

GONE was amazing, and so sad. I'm really glad Janie stayed with Cabe, too. I love them as a couple, and I love that he loves her so much that, despite his fears, he still wants to love her and be there for her.

It's a really weird series, huh? It can be so bleak, confronting and uncompromising, but still leave you with a seed of hope. I'd also love to catch up with Janie (AND CABE!) in a few years. I know her life's going to be tough, but I want to believe that she's strong enough to survive it.

OK, seriously, I'm done gushing now, sorry!
I actually just finished Cryer's Cross on the weekend, and it's AMAZING. I was spellbound. Hope you love it :)
