Crazy Dangerous Tour: Review + Giveaway
Hello guys! It's Thursday and yes today was my very last day of school I'm pretty freaking excited now I have more time to read then ever! I'm also excited because Sunday is my 16th birthday!! Anyways I was asked to be apart of the Crazy Dangerous Tour hosted by YA Bound and I said of course because the book looked so good and I'm glad I said yes because I loved it! Here's a little bit about the book before my review!
Crazy Dangerous by Andrew Klavan
Book Blurb: (Taken from Goodreads)
"You probably want to hear about Jennifer and the demons and how I played chicken with a freight train and—oh yeah—the weird murder and how I found out about it—you're definitely going to want to hear about that. But first, I have to tell you about the stupidest thing I ever did . . ."
Sam Hopkins is bored with his status as a preacher's kid. So when a group of guys notorious for being in trouble offers him friendship, he accepts. Before long, he has several new skills—including hot-wiring cars.
At school, there's an eccentric loner named Jennifer. When Sam defends her from being bullied, she begins to seek him out as her only friend. Her ramblings often seem illogical . . . but then start to contain grains of truth. One leads Sam to discover that one of his new friends has been killed. And then she tells him, "I'm looking for the devil." Sam doesn't know what that means, but he knows it's a matter of life and death that he figure it out.
Everyone else thinks Jennifer is suffering from schizophrenia. But Sam is starting to wonder if there could be something prophetic in her words. Discovering the truth is going to be both crazy and dangerous.
Sounds awesome right? Here's my review!
Crazy Dangerous definitely earned it’s name! I loved how much suspense there was near the end it was so awesome I did not want to put the book down! But I can’t really say anything else about the ending without the spoilers so let’s just talk about the book! I’m going to make an attempt to write a review with no spoilers!
The story is about a guy named Sam and he’s tagged as the priests son because he is indeed the priests son. He starts off upset because everybody acts different towards him because of his dad, and Sam hates this he wants people to see his personality he wants people to act normal around him. But they don’t because he’s “the good kid and he can do no wrong.” Throughout the whole book Sam struggles with this, will he overcome it? I don’t know why don’t you go grab the book and find out!
While Sam is out running he’s basically attacked by Jeff Winger and his gang. Now it’s not like Sam wasn’t doing anything wrong just running. But since he was on Jeff’s turf just running was a big problem. You think this is the biggest problem in the book? Think again this is the begging of a lot more (and a whole lot larger) problems in the future. Anyways Jeff and his gang eventually befriends him because of how brave he is and they teach him how to steal cars and pick locks. Sam is into this at first but as time progresses he realizes this is a problem and decides to tell Jeff he want’s out. On his way up to tell Jeff he runs into this girl we know as Jennifer she is said to be schizophrenic just out in the middle of the woods. He tries get her to leave but before he can Jeff shows up and let’s just say things get physical and Sam ends up on the side of the road pretty banged up. (Now that whole paragraph wasn’t spoilers it was just basically the set up of the story I promise I will say no more, now we can get to the characters and the plot!)
Sam as you can tell is very brave and if you don’t believe me grab the book and check out the ending it’s pretty freaking fantastic! Another big character is Jennifer, the reason she is a big part is because well she’s the reason Sam is so brave because he wants to protect her and everybody else. At first one of my favorite character’s is Mark because he’s so good to his sister (Jennifer) and because Sam speaks so highly of him but ehh he turned out to be not so good I should have listened to Zoe who was Sam’s little crush!
Anyways I give the book a definite 5 out of 5 because I read and read and read constantly all day long. I couldn’t get enough of Sam and his Crazy Dangerous life!
I hope you guys all enjoyed my review now for the giveaway!
