Synopsis: Eight children in three years? Impossible!
Kate and Jon Gosselin have learned that, through God, all things are possible---though sometimes slightly improbable.
Just three years after giving birth to twin daughters, Kate and Jon learned they were pregnant again---with sextuplets. In Multiple Blessings, Kate candidly chronicles the emotional and exhausting challenges she and Jon faced from the time the babies were conceived through the first two years of their lives.
This amazing story of faith provides a heartening lesson in what it means to trust the faithful hand of God to provide the strength and courage to make it through life's seemingly impossible situations.

My Review:
I received Multiple Blessings by Kate Gosselin & Beth Carson from Paperback swap, and this is my honest review.

I saw this book on Paperback swap and just had to snatch it up, because I have always been a fan of the gosselin family and being able to read the book about their lives just seemed perfect. In case nobody knows what I am talking about, their used to be a reality TV show on TLC called Jon & Kate Plus 8 which is about the life of a couple and their 8 children. (a set of twins and a set on sextuplets) The show is no longer on because the couple has split up since but the new show Kate Plus 8 is premiering this summer!

This book was the perfect size for a memoir. Some people write memoirs that drone on and on about boring things, but Multiple Blessings cuts right to the point so there is no boring parts. There are a few times when we are brought back to the past but it is only a few times and the stories are interesting which makes it okay to do.

I was in love with the show when it was on, so the book kept my interest from page one until the end. I got teary eyed during the sad moments like when Kate was having problems getting pregnant it really touched me and I felt bad for her. But at the same time I had a huge smile on my face during the cute moments, for example when Kate was telling us about the sextuplets 1st birthday and the few pictures, they were heartwarming.

Kate has also written another book since her split with Jon, her husband which I also received from paperback swap. I probably will not read it right away after finishing this one, but I still love the family so I will eventually read and probably love it. The show also is on netflix currently if anyone wants to check it out!

  1. I'm not really a fan of the show, so I don't really know much about them. The children are adorable, though. Great review!
