Life for Nora couldn't be better; she has married the man of her dreams and loves living in the pristine land of Kailmeyra.
That is, until the darkness threatens her perfect world.
Now war is upon the land. She and Gavin must strengthen their clan and prepare to fight. But the enemy has an ally—one that not only wields power, but holds knowledge of the ancients' secrets. Secrets that could destroy creation itself.
As the darkness grows, doubt seeps in ... protectiveness hinders progress ... and the unthinkable comes to pass.
Bewildered and alone, Nora shoulders the responsibility of leading an entire race to war. As she struggles with decisions that seem impossible to make, she is haunted by one choice.
"No one has ever doubted that you would die for those you love. The question then becomes ... would you live?"

Secret of the Keepers Excerpt #2
The energy arced, pulling him to me. With his every step the connection grew, but there was a difference. My heart jolted as my eyes snapped to him. This was stronger than a feeling, it ran deeper than his scent … I could feel his essence. I never knew what that meant until this moment, but the current cycled so deeply, it was as if I could sense his soul. Recognition blazed in his expression. His scent of earthy peppermint and sunshine bid me closer. I took one last step. The warmth from his body curled around me, warming my bare skin.
Long fingers slipped up my arms and came to rest on my shoulders. The heat from his touch registered in our circle as his soft lips found mine. Smooth palms shook as they continued their journey, and I smiled as they lingered on their favorite spot between my shoulder blades. The warmth of his caress sparked a slow burn heating the pit of my stomach, and I took a deep breath. He put a few inches between us, his eyes searching; concern crept in.
“Nora … you’re still weak. We have a lifetime.” The now familiar caution surrounding me the few times we had almost passed this threshold was there, mixed with a little fear. I put my hand on his chest; his heart accelerated beneath my palm.
“We’ve longed for this day since my first night at the mountain house in Appalachia so long ago. I don’t want to wait.”
Uncertainty swirled; his fingers once again traced my spine. I held my breath, concentrating on the heat trailing behind his caress. Memories embraced my thoughts. His velvet voice echoed in my mind … “you have but to ask …”
“I’m asking now,” I whispered.
