Thanks to Around The World ARC Tours, I was provided an ARC of Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout for an honest review.
Everyone has been constantly raving about Jennifer's writing so when I saw that she had a new book coming out I jumped at the chance to see what it was all about and boy am I glad I did! Cursed is about a girl named Ember who is in a car accident two years ago with her parents and younger sister Olivia. Unfortunately her and her dad die but Olivia her sister has a special gift and brings Ember back before anyone knows she was dead. Two years later Ember lives at home with her now 5 year old sister who has a special gift of bringing things back to life and her mother who basically doesn't know she exists. One thing nobody knows about Ember though is that she has the touch of death!!
That's one of the main reasons why I picked up this book because a character not being able to touch anyone without killing them seems like such an awesome plot and I've always wanted to see where the plot would take us. Ember is a really strong character, and I say this because she has to deal with basically being a mother to her 5 year old sister keeping food on the table lights on in the house keeping her grades up in school and making sure she doesn't touch anyone because her touch is fatal!
She only has one friend in the book and that's Adam. At first I thought he was going to be the love interest but I'm kind of glad he wasn't because he was too plain and he didn't have any powers. Her love interest ended up being Hayden which I loved because well he was awesome! The way he was described Armentrout almost had me drooling! Plus I'm not sure why but the guys that have a dark past or a dark power always attract me in these books and that was Hayden all the way!!
Ember had a hard time trusting everybody that she was forced to live with and I really don't blame her because I hated everyone that was in the house Phoebe was a complete bitch. Kurt was just plain rude. Parker was quiet so I didn't really mind him but they still all annoyed me!! One other thing I've been noticing in a few books is that the bad guy is always someone your so not expecting! I wish I could tell you who but that would be spoiling! So anyways this book gets a 5 out of 5 stars all the way!!

Ember sounds a bit like Rose in Vampire Academy. Is there a similarity?
